So much great coffee this weekend! our Ethiopian Kemgin will be sampled with all the other Good Food Award – winning coffees at today’s Ferry Plaza Farmers’ Market between 8-2. Free! Also our Kemgin will be available by the cup at our Ferry Building shop, and at our Roastery in Oakland. The Kemgin will be on Siphon at our shop on Mint Plaza. Also, we will have our favorites leading up to the Brazil Cup of Excellence auctions at the free public cupping at our roastery sunday January 16 and we’ll be serving the majestic Sulawesi Toarca Jaya Peaberry as an espresso on the La Marzocco Strada at our roastery in Oakland.
We are very excited that our Ethiopian Kemgin was one of the winners of the Good Food Awards. Keep your eyes out for a coffee event at the Webster Street Roastery on January 22 celebrating this great coffee. More updates soon.
We are very excited to be one of the first espresso bars in California to feature the beautiful La Marzocco Strada MP. This is La Marzocco’s first pressure profiling espresso machine and we love what it is letting us do to the coffee so far. Since we only pull single origin espresso at the Webster coffee bar, we thought that would be the perfect place to feature a Strada. There are so many possibilities with pressure profiling on the Strada we are really looking forward to delving deeply into our profiles. Apart from the pressure profiling, it’s a wonderful machine in a lot of other ways – shot timer, nice wide drip tray, ergonomic steam valve, etc etc. Please stop by and let us know what you think! Oh, and it looks super slick, also.
